COLIN BEATTIE BSc (Hons)

Camera Operator, Company Director, Editor

Colin is the primary shooter and main creative behind Colbridge Media Services. His roles include Company Director, Producer, Editor and Camera Operator.

He started his career at the age of 16 as an electrical and electronics engineer after completing an apprenticeship and working in the manufacturing industry whilst making amateur films as a hobby. After studying for a BSc Honours degree in the Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences he then qualified as a Careers Guidance Adviser working for both Lincolnshire City Council and Essex County Council then as a consultant working with various clients and businesses before setting up Colbridge Media Services Ltd.

Colin has always had an interest in films and filmmaking and has used everything from 8mm film through to all kinds of video formats to the latest digital technology in 4K filming. He finally went professional in 2009 setting up Colbridge Media Sevices Ltd with wife Bridget and completed more than 500 jobs for 220 clients so far.

The only time he has found himself on the other side of the camera was when he appeared as an extra in Outlaw (2007) directed by Nick Love and starring Sean Bean and Danny Dyer. Filming on location on a closed movie set was a good experience and only added to his enthusiasm and passion for filmmaking

BRIDGET BEATTIE

Camera Operator, Production Assistant & Client Liaison

Bridget began her career at the age of 16 in the City of London working her way up in the corporate world of stockbroking, banking, insurance and sales before taking a break to raise a family.

Bridget is Camera Operator, Production Assistant and Client Liaison for Colbridge Media Services and thrives on building trustworthy relationships with businesses and delivering to a high standard.

Bridget has always had a keen interest in photography and enthusiastically setup the video company with husband Colin in 2009 to master the moving image.
